The year is 1907. It is 10 years after the Phantom’s disappearance from the Paris Opera House and he has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak-shows of Coney Island. In this new electrically-charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar. All that is missing is his love, Christine Daaé. In a final bid to win back her love, the Phantom lures Christine to the glittering world of Coney Island with her husband, Raoul and their young son Gustave… unbeknownst of what is in store for her….
LOVE NEVER DIES will be the first new Australian production of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in more than 20 years - Directed by Simon Phillips, Choreographed by Graeme Murphy and Designed by Gabriela Tylesova. Melbourne will also be only the second city in the world to host the musical after London, setting the stage for a theatrical experience of a lifetime.
